Subscription Terms
Last updated: September 7, 2026
AlleyCat is free for customers. Subscriptions are sold to businesses that want to publish deals, run punch cards, and reach nearby customers. These Subscription Terms are part of our Terms of Service and should be read with our Refund Policy.
What is free and what is paid
Customer accounts are free. Browsing, saving deals, following businesses, punch cards, wallet rewards, and alerts cost nothing and there is no customer subscription. Paid plans apply only to business accounts.
Plans, prices, and billing frequency
- Pro — $35/month, or $385/year when you choose yearly billing. Billed in advance each month or each year until cancelled.
- Premium — $70/month, or $770/year when you choose yearly billing. Billed in advance each month or each year until cancelled.
Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that apply where you are. Prices in the AlleyCat iOS and Android apps are set per storefront and may differ by country, currency, and local tax rules. Current prices are always shown on the pricing page and on the purchase screen before you confirm.
Free trial
New business accounts can start a 60-day free trial. Nothing is charged during the trial. When the trial ends it converts automatically into a paid subscription of the plan you selected, at that plan's price and billing frequency, unless you cancel before the trial ends. Cancelling during the trial keeps your access until the trial's last day and you are not charged. One trial per business.
Auto-renewal
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price for your plan, and continue until cancelled. For App Store and Google Play purchases, the store charges the payment method on your store account within 24 hours before the period ends. For purchases made on thealleycat.app, your saved card is charged at the start of each period.
We email yearly web subscribers ahead of renewal. Apple and Google send their own renewal and trial-ending notices for store purchases; AlleyCat does not control those messages.
Cancelling
You can cancel any time. Where you bought decides where you cancel:
- Bought on the web: cancel in your dashboard billing settings. Access continues to the end of the period you already paid for.
- Bought in the iOS app: cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions). AlleyCat cannot cancel an App Store subscription for you.
- Bought in the Android app: cancel in Google Play subscriptions. AlleyCat cannot cancel a Google Play subscription for you.
Deleting your AlleyCat account does not cancel a store subscription. Cancel it in the store first, then delete the account.
Upgrades, downgrades, and changes
Switching plans takes effect as your provider applies it: on the web an upgrade starts immediately with a prorated charge, and a downgrade starts at the next renewal. In the apps, Apple and Google apply their own proration rules for plan changes. If your subscription lapses, deals above your new plan's limits stop appearing until you are back within the limits — your data is not deleted.
We may change prices or plan contents. For web subscriptions we give notice before a price change takes effect at your next renewal. Store price increases follow Apple's and Google's own consent rules.
Failed payments and expiration
If a renewal payment fails, we (or the store) retry for a limited period. Paid features pause until payment succeeds. If it never succeeds, the subscription expires and the account returns to the free state.
Refunds
Refunds depend on where you bought. App Store purchases are refunded by Apple, Google Play purchases by Google, and web purchases by us. Full detail — including how to ask — is in our Refund Policy.
Restoring a purchase
If you reinstall the app or sign in on a new device, use “Restore purchases” on the subscription screen to reattach an active store subscription to your AlleyCat account.
